Shires Tom Thumb Waterford
The lifting effect at the front offers more control and precision making it good for jumping. It is also used generally for horses that tend to lean owing to its uplifting action. The cheeks reinforce the turning aids and will not pull through the mouth. The Tom Thumb Cheeks are allowed for Pony Club, Showjumping and Eventing. Brass alloy assists with salivation, along with a warmer feel in the horses mouth as well as being more palatable than stainless steel. Mouthpiece thickness: 10.5mm. Cheek height: 135mm.
The Waterford mouth should be worn 1/4″ – 1/2″ wider than standard to work effectively.
