Flat Ring Jointed Eggbutt

The Flat Ring Jointed Eggbutt is a mild snaffle bit with a single jointed mouthpiece, for a ‘nutcracker’ action, which applies pressure to the tongue, the lips and the bars of the mouth. Smooth Eggbutt cheeks prevent uncomfortable pinching of the horse’s lips, and means there is less movement of the bit in the mouth, ideal for horses than are unsure of the bit. The thinner mouthpiece of this bit may increase its strength slightly, but may make it more comfortable for horses and ponies with a smaller mouth.
